"So what are you doing tomorrow," typed Jessie.
Jess sat back in her chair to look over the computer screen. A small Instant Message box had popped up to the side of the screen and now she was talking with Katie. Whenever Katie imed Jessie it always brought a grin to her face, the girl had the most ridiculous screen name, KTimlostKT. The girl was definately on the quirky side, thought Jessie. Then the reply came to her question.
"Hanging out with my favorite girl in the world," had typed Katie with a grin on her face, she knew Jessie wouldn't ask her that question unless it was to be followed by, "wanna come over."
"Oh, that's too bad."
"Why's that?"
"Cuz I was going to ask you to come over here."
"Name a time."
"Uhmmm....7'o clock sound good?"
"If it's with you of course."
"Great."
"Well I've gotta go...my mom is having trouble trying to cook Eazy Mac," typed Katie while sighing as she listened to her clueless mom call for her.
"Katie saves the day..."
"Once again, well goodnight Jess, sweet dreams," typed Katie before signing off.
"Bye."

The Next Night, 7:30
A knock echoed through the Sammler household. Karen walked over and opened the door, powder covered her face. Her hair was swept up in a horribly messy bun and she had an apron on that read, "Danger Mom Cooking." Katie grinned and stepped into the house as Karen stepped aside to allow her in. After closing the door behind herself Katie turned to look at Karen. Karen wiped her powdery hand across the apron before reading her watch.
"Katie you're right on time," said Karen, she and
her daughter had come to realize Katie's habit of being roughly thirty minutes late for
any scheduled appointment.
Katie grinned sheepishly then raised an eyebrow looking at Karen, "kitchen
troubles?"
"Oh no! Never! Why do you ask?"
"I dunno maybe the powder covered apron or the fact that you either suddenly became very pale or your face is covered with powder to," said Katie as Karen offered her a hand for a handshake.
Katie took Karen's hand and began to shake but was immediately pulled into a hug. Powder went up in a cloud around the two of them and caused Katie to cough and close her eyes. Karen grinned at the sucess of her devious plan. Never would Katie try to cross another cooking Sammler, she thought. She knew Katie would take it in stride though and wasn't at all suprised to hear Katie laugh....after she'd finnished coughing of course.
"Jess is in the kitchen," whispered Karen to Katie which caused Katie to make a mock-horrified face.
"Oh God! No wonder you're covered in powder!"
Karen laughed and released Katie from the hug. Katie had on or had had on a black form-fitting tank top and some dark jeans, now it looked like a big white jumpsuit. Karen couldn't help but laugh at seeing Katie like this. Not only was her outfit white but the Katie's hair had been down and was now covered in white as was her face. Karen doubled over as Katie opened her eyes, Katie's big, grinning, green eyes blinked a few times, she looked ridiculous because her face was white and there in the middle were two big ol' mossy eyes.
Rolling her eyes at Karens impossible imaturity Katie
walked towards the kitchen hearing the sound of various pots and pans clanging together.
Jessie stopped her at the door to the kitchen. She bit her bottom lip, at first Katie
thought it was just to be cute but as she saw the way Jessie's lips trembled lightly she
realized it was to stop her from laughing. Jessie herself was just one ghosty white blob
of a person. She had on an apron that matched her mothers except for it read, "Danger
Sammler Cooking," though it took a couple minutes for Katie to read it through the
thick white blanket of powder that caked Jessie's entrie body.
"Don't even think about it!" warned Katie talking about Jessie's obvious attempts to control the urge to laugh. That caused Jessie to double over in laughter as tears streaked down mixing in with the powder.
"You're so going to get it later," growled Katie menacingly, this only caused Jessie to laugh even more.
"Ugh! What is it with you Sammler women! You don't look to good yourself but me, I'm just hilarious huh?" said Katie swishing her hands in the air for emphasis.
"Yea....that's right," Jessie finally managed as she holding her aching stomach wiping the tears of laughter from her face.
Just then Karen came up behind Katie and dragged her out of the kitchen, "you can't see the meal till it's finnished!"
"Fine, fine! I give up! The two of you are impossible," breathed out Katie through a grin as she let herself finally be pulled away.

Dinner Table, 2 Hours Later
Katie's stomach growled causing her to grin sheepishly as she sat down across from Jessie and beside Karen at the table. Jessie grinned and Karen put her face in her hands as she laughed lightly. As Jessie moved to follow her mother's actions she noticed some powder caked onto her arm and started busily picking it off. Katie couldn't help but sigh. Katie had gone upstairs after being bannished from the kitchen and had taken a quick shower before she changed into her clothes for tomorrow, a black halter top and some jean cut off shorts.
Jessie had changed the moment after she'd gotten out of the shower, she wasn't the type that liked to be dirty and covered in powder. Now she had on a light blue tank top underneath a matching light blue quater sleeve jacket, and some khaki pants. Karen too had taken a shower, but hers had been cold seeing as the two girls had taken all the hot water and now she had on some old jeans and a navy blue long sleeved shirt. Karen shivered as she looked down at the food. It had taken roughly one hour, then they'd had to go back realizing they'd done it wrong and the right way took 2 hours then it had taken about thiry minutes to get ready and get downstairs, now they were all about to start eating.
"Let's dig in," said Karen only seconds before the starving Katie grabbed up the nearest bowl of food.

Jessie's Room, 1 Hour Later
Katie collapsed on the bed and turned looking at Jessie as the girl slid onto the bed beside her. Smiling lazily Jessie's arms slid themselves around Katie as the younger girl snuggled up against the elder. Each of the girls was thoroughly exhausted not to mention thoroughly stuffed. Sighing Katie rubbed Jessie's lower back with one hand, the other seeking and finding Jessie's. Katie entwined her fingers with Jessie's and raised her hand to her face before kissing it softly. Jessie looked up at Katie, smiling sweetly.
"Katie...," said Jessie, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Yea Jess?" asked Katie curious as to what was on her girlfriends mind.
"I love you..."
"Jess that's so sweet," Katie began but was interupted.
"Because you're such a dork," finnished Jessie grinning.
"You're going to get it now Jessie Sammler!" said Katie standing up and picking up one of Jessie's pillows.
Jessie dodged Katie's first shot at her with the pillow and grabbed her own pillow. Within minutes feathers were flying around the two, creating a sort of white cloud. Smiling Jessie fell backwards on the bed to avoid another swing by Katie and lost her own pillow...er pillowcase in the process then pulled Katie down ontop of her. Their faces inches apart their laughter stopped as they looked deep into each others eyes and Katie closed the gap between her and her girlfriend's lips quickly. After the kiss ended and they were looking back into each others eyes Jessie spoke.
"Katie I love you," she said, in complete awe of the feelings that Katie spurred inside her.
"Because I'm such a dork?" asked Katie, slightly hesitant that Jessie would so quickly say she loved her.
"No, I love you because you're amazing and you're perfect," said Jessie sincerely causing Katie to blush and look into Jessie's eyes speechless.
"Wow," said Jessie smiling.
"What?"
"I finally found a way to shut you up," said Jessie as her smile turned into a full out grin.
"You ruined the moment!" Katie whined as she fell down, her lips close to Jessie's ear she leaned over and whispered, "I love you Jess, I do."
