PART 7
When they turned around to see who knocked. They saw a very amused Grace grinning at them. Jessie and Katie looked at each other blushing deeply and Katie rolled down the window.
"I'm sorry, was I interrupting something?" Grace asked trying not to laugh.
Jessie automatically became flustered "Uh, we weren't doin...well uh..you see I was just..and she, well.."
"What she's trying to say is, you weren't interrupting anything, we were just ya know talking, so no we're fine. What did you want anyway?" Katie asked.
Grace couldn't help but laugh at the way those two were acting. "Oh, well I saw you two pull up and it's been like 15 minutes since I saw you. So, I decided to come out and see what you were doing. Obviously I came just in time to see you two gettin at it." Grace said smirking.
"We weren't getting at anything." Jessie stated
"Yeah, well, that's not what I saw"
"You didn't see anything." Jessie replied harshly.
"Ok, ok. I know when to stop. Just don't be much longer. I'll see ya later. Bye Katie." Grace said winking at her, causing Katie to blush again
As Grace walked in, Jessie turned to Katie. "I'm sorry about my step sister. She can be really annoying sometimes."
Katie smiled "It's ok Jess. I don't mind." Katie said while brushing a stray piece of hair out of Jessie's face. Jessie leaned into the touch.
"Uh...I think I better go." Jessie said moving her head out of the way of Katie's hand.
"Ok." Katie said looking a little puzzled. Katie was waiting to see if Jessie wanted to kiss her, but she left quickly. Katie looked at after her with a confused look on her face, but brushed it off and drove away

*Manning House*
When Jessie walked in the house, she noticed nobody was around. She took a seat at the counter and sighed loudly. ~*What am I getting myself into?*~ Jessie thought to herself. At that moment the phone rang. It stopped ringing so she figured someone else picked it up. She went to the fridge and got out an orange, and sat down. She didn't know what she was doing. She was so confused.
Zoë walked in. "Hey, Jessie. Tad is on the phone for you."
"Ok, thanks Zoë."
"Hello?"
"Hey Jess, what's up?"
"Nothing much."
"Yeah, well I heard that Katie dumped Sarah for you. Is that true?" Tad asked with a jealous tone
"No, I don't think so."
"That's a relief. I mean, that's good that she didn't do it for you. I mean...."
"It's ok Tad. I know what you mean."
"Well, there's rumors goin around school about you two. I'm just glad they aren't true. They aren't right"
"No, they aren't true. But I have to go Tad. I will see you tomorrow"
"Ok, bye Jessie"
"Bye"
When Jessie hung up she let out another long and loud sigh.
"What's wrong Jessie?" Zoë asked
"Hmm? Oh, it's nothing. I just have a lot going on right now, that's all."
"Ok" Zoë said before running back upstairs.
Jessie finished her orange and headed upstairs. She had a lot of things to sort out with herself before she went to school tomorrow. Jessie went upstairs to her room and saw that her door was open, so she figured someone was inside. When she walked in she noticed Grace sitting on her bed looking at her notebook and smiling. "Hey, don't be reading my stuff" Jessie said walking over to Grace and snatching the notebook out of her hand.
"So, who's K.S.?" Grace asked innocently.
"No one."
"Hmm, now let me think about this. Do I know anyone with the initials K.S.?
Ya know, I think I do." Grace said
"Get out!" Jessie demanded
"Oh, come on. Just because you 'love' K.S. doesn't mean you need to get hostile with me"
"I don't love anyone! Now please just get out!" Jessie screamed, making Grace get up and finally leave.
Jessie was doing her homework when she decided to give Katie a call.
"Hello?"
"Hey Katie, it's me" Jessie replied with a far off tone in her voice.
Katie must have sensed it "Jess? What's wrong?" Katie asked.
"I.." Jessie started
"Yeah?"
"I can't do this anymore" Jessie said quietly.
"Do what?" Katie asked confused
"Us...I can't do us"
"I never knew there was an us that you couldn't do"
"Well, there was an us, but not anymore. I can't see you anymore Katie. I'm sorry" Jessie said tears starting to form in her eyes.
Katie was stunned "What do you mean you can't see me anymore?"
"I mean, I don't think we should see each other anymore. Not as friends and not as an us."
Now Katie was starting to cry "Jessie..." she whispered out.
"I'm sorry" Jessie said before she hung up.
