PART 6

*School*

Jessie was walking down the hall when she saw Katie talking with Sarah Grassa. It looked like they were arguing about something. So she decided to wait to talk to her until lunch.

"Sarah. Look, I'm sorry. It's just.."

"It's that little bitch isn't it? Well fuck you Katie Singer. If you want that whore, then go ahead. I'm not stopping you, but when she breaks your heart. Don't come crawling back to me you got it!" Sarah said storming off.

~*Well that went great*~

*Lunch*

When Jessie walked into the cafeteria she didn't see Katie at their table.  So she looked around and spotted her sitting in the corner all by her self. She walked up to her and sat down.  "Hey, what's wrong?" Jessie asked

"Nothing you'd understand" Katie replied bitterly.

So Jessie just sat there looking up at Katie every now and then. Katie looked up at Jessie annoyed.  "Look if you want to know then I'l tell you. But stop staring at me"

"Uh, maybe it's not a good idea that I know. You know, I should get going"   Jessie said starting to get up, but Katie stopped her.

"No. Look, I'm sorry. It's just well. Actually when I give you a ride home we'll talk ok?"

"Ok"

The bell rang and they headed off in their separate ways

*Katie's Car*

They drove the whole way home in silence. They stopped in front of the Manning's house and pulled into the driveway. Katie turned to Jessie to look at her but Jessie was in her own world at the time.

"Jessie" Katie said softly "Jessie" she tried again.

Jessie turned around her eyes filled with tears. "I'm sorry Katie. I shouldn't have kissed you and then you wouldn't have had to break up with Sarah." Jessie spoke out between sobs.

"No. Jessie. Listen to me. Yes I would have had to break up with Sarah. She wasn't who I thought she was. Even if you weren't here, I still would have broken up with her. It's just that you came along and you made me realize that I don't feel anything for her. I guess I was just using her in a way, but believe me if I had to choose between you and her, it would definitely be you." Katie said looking at Jessie intensely the whole time.

Jessie was absolutely speechless. That was one of the...no. The most sweetest thing anyone has ever said to her. She turned away again. So Katie took that as a negative response.

"Look, Jessie. You mean a lot to me. And I want to be friends with you, and eventually if you let me, more. But if you don't want any of this. I can just take you home right now, and then I won't bother you anymore."

Jessie turned towards Katie and took her hand in her own. "No, Katie. I want to be your friend too, and maybe even more. I did kiss you, you know, and I don't regret it either. I was just so confused and I didn't know what was going on. I'm sorry I reacted the way I did. I was just shocked at what I did, but now if it were to happen again, I wouldn't act that way. You mean so much to me, and I don't want to lose you," and with that Jessie leaned in and captured Katie's lips with her own. At first Katie didn't respond, she was too shocked, but then they both got in to it. They kissed holding each others hands, and were about to pull away, when someone knocked on the window.
