*School*

"Ok class. I want you to finish this assignment by Friday. Oh and remember you get extra credit if you read the actual book." Mr.. Dimitri said, finishing up his lecture as the bell rang.

~*God I hate this class. Could it be anymore boring*~ Katie thought has she walked out of his class. Katie went to her locker to get out the rest of her books, when she noticed a short blonde girl walking down the hall. She was so mesmerized by her that she didn't here Tad talking.

"Katie..hello Katie?"

"Oh, did you say something?" Katie replied somewhat dazed.

"Yeah, I said isn't that blondie a hottie?"

"Uh, yeah she's ok" Katie replied casually

"That's Grace's step-sister."

"It is?" Katie asked shocked

"Yeah. Hey you wanna come over later to finish that assignment Mr.. Dimitri said we had to do." Tad asked

"Uh. No I have..um...some...uh things to do, so yeah I cant. Well I better be going. I don't want to be late."

"Sure. I'll see ya later Katie."

"Yeah see ya." Katie said as she walked off and ran into to that short blonde haired girl.  "Oh my God. I'm so sorry." Katie said looking up and seeing who she had ran into.

"It's ok. Don't worry about it." Jessie said smiling.

Again Katie was mesmerized.

"...get going. So see ya."

"What did you say?" Katie asked

"I said I better get going. I don't want to be late. Bye." Jessie said as she left.

"Ok. See ya later!" Katie shouted out.  ~*God, I'm such an idiot. I was totally staring at her, and practically drooling. I have to stop doing that.*~

*Manning House*

"So, there was this girl today that I ran into. She seemed pretty nice. But she was looking at me kind of weird." Jessie said, talking to Grace in her attic.

"Who was she?"

"I think she's a junior. I think her name is like Katie S-something."

"Oh, you ran into Katie Singer. Yeah she is pretty nice. A little weird, but nice, I guess." Grace said, whispering the last part.

"So, do you know her all that well?"

"Yeah, she's in my English class. She's friends with that guy you like, Tad."

"I do not like him! I just think he's kinda cute." Jessie said embarrassed.

"Yeah, whatever. But anyway, so you want to get to know Katie better. I can introduce her to you, if ya want."

"Uh, sure. That would be cool." Jessie replied again nervous. Why was she nervous? She didn't even know this girl, so there was nothing to be scared about.

*Next Day, At School*

Grace walked up to Katie, with Jessie trailing behind.

"Hey Katie."

"Oh hey Grace." Katie said noticing that girl behind her.

"Oh, this is my step-sister. Jessie."

~*Jessie. Hmmm, what a beautiful name*~ Katie thought.

"Hey Jess. I'm Katie. It's nice to actually meet you this time."  That got a laugh from Jessie.

"Hi, Katie. Um I'm sorry about yesterday." Jessie replied shyly.

"Hey, it wasn't your fault. Im just so damn clumsy, that's all".  Again, Jessie laughed.

They stood there for while in akward silence, before Katie spoke up.  "Well, I better get goin now. See ya later Grace and Jess." Katie said leaving. Looking back once more at Jessie and giving her a weird smile before she finally disappeared.

"That was interesting." Grace stated, highly amused

Jessie was confused. "What do you mean?"

"Ohhh, nothing. Just that you look a little embarrassed."

"What?!" Jessie asked angrily.

"Nothing. It's nothing. I have to go. So I will see you after school. Bye"   Grace said, chuckling

There was something Grace wasn't telling her, and that made her upset. "Fine, whatever. Bye."
