as the weeks pressed on, the rang of fire between sammler & singer
steadily increased. russell had seen enough. he was tired of their
battle to somehow prove how much they hated each other & how mad they
were when all the two girls really wanted to do was each other. so
with that in mind, he quickly called up tad to make sure the plan
could be easily worked into place.
*repeated rings*
thinking to himself, "come on tad! it's a tuesday night for crying
out loud. what could be so important that you wouldn't pick up the
god dam-"
"hey russell, what's up?"
"jesus tad! what took so long? i thought i was going to have to wait
til elephants could fly!" tad started laughing. "what's so funny
tad?"
"oh, nothing. it's just...elephants CAN fly. i mean, dude, remember
dumbo drop?"
"oh man tad. you ever gonna give up the jokes?"
"let me think about that one." (short pause) "nope. hey man, so why'd
you call?"
"i need your help. jessie has been so angsty lately & it's driving me
crazy."
"isn't that what you love though russ? if i may quote, & i think i
will, 'angst is what drives every human be-'"
"i know what i say tad. focus here. jessie isn't meant to spend one
minute of truly being anything but happy or at least content with her
life. her soul wasn't meant to deal with such pain as what she's been
putting herself through lately. she loves katie & i'm pretty sure she
loves jess back. i mean, god, who wouldn't?!"
"well, you wouldn't or any other gay guy or straight girl, at least
in that way. before you even start you snipping(?) i was just joking.
i know what you mean, jess is one of the sweetest girls i've ever
met. come to think of it, sarah & i were trying to think of a way to
get them back together, or at least stop their little war."
"whoa dude, 'sarah & i?' since when did you and sarah become a YOU &
SARAH?"
"ok, that's not the point. nothing's going on. she's not even
interested in me. says i'm too cocky. sometimes i am but it's all
part of the fasade but you'd think she would have figured that out by
now. i wish she'd at least look at me with some sort of possibility
of something more. oh man russ, you better not say anything to her!"
"tad, i wouldn't play you like that, & besides, it's not my place to
either. we better get sarah on three-way cuz this might take more
than just the two of us..."
