Katie gave a long, deep breath & pulled back the lever. (sorry, i don't know the specific parts of a gun) The sound it made in the dead silence of the cabin, was enough to scare anyone. She then closed her eyes & brought the gun up to her right temple, finger held firmly on the trigger & held her breath.
*BANG*
Of course unknown to Katie, Jessie used her instinct & thankfully for Kat's great description of the cabin, it was easy to find; while young Singer was setting up her final thoughts.
That's something Jess always loved about that girl: her attention to detail. Of course, Katie knew when & when not to elaborate, which unfortunately worked for as well as against her. Sadly, Jess wasn't about to try to pick things exactly up from where they were before they split apart. Not to say that part of Jessie didn't want to jump into Katie's warm embrace & never let go, but she knew she couldn't let herself become that naive again. To believe that love is simple & can overcome everything, was simply not the case here.
Jessie thought of all of this as she slowly pulled up by Katie's vehicle, put the car into park & finally turned it off. But then her pessimistic side kicked in. "What if she doesn't want me here?" Jessie frantically thought. She quickly shook the notion when she heard a loud BANG, coming from inside the house.
"Oh God!" Jessie screamed as she ran into the house. Tears began flowing out of her innocent sparkling crystal eyes. Then she saw it. Or should I say her...
